The Challenge
One of the world’s leading gourmet food brands had
launched new branding guidelines that it needed to apply
across all of its materials. The company does extensive
direct marketing and testing and was struggling with
how to achieve brand alignment, while maximizing direct
marketing effectiveness. The company turned to Johnson
Direct to help deliver stronger results.
The Solutions
We are using our Direct Branding™ approach as we conduct
ongoing direct mail testing. We began by examining the
previous year’s control piece as well as the company’s
new branding guidelines. We combined the brand essential
design elements with proven direct marketing techniques
to create a new piece. On a regular basis, we are continuing
to test and perfect the design to achieve continuous
improvement.
The Results
In one of the first months of the program, we were
able to boost the average order size by 7 percent. We
are continuing to work with Omaha Steaks to track and
measure the program’s success.
